TARA NA SA BLUE CORAL BEACH RESORT LAIYA BATANGAS - SUMMER GETAWAY!

Heya All!

It's been a while since I have posted a blog! Busy more than a bee, yeah! It is summertime!!! First thing on the list? Beaches..yes. And one of the nearest resorts here is in Batangas!! Here, I want to share with you our summer experience in Laiya, Batangas!

This resort is just almost 3 hour-drive from Binan, Laguna or almost 4 1/2 hour from Manila. It has a complete facilities from dining, rooms, pools and of course, beach!

We are so lucky because nakapag book kami ng mas maaga. We had the best cottage kasi it's facing the pool and just steps away sa beach. They have kiddie pool, for adults and infinity pool.

They have this pool na lukewarm ang water and perfect for the night swimming.

But the best one is their infinity pool which overlooks the beach that is so pristine.

Blue Coral also offers buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is very convenient.

And the beach!

Kids and kids at heart can enjoy both. Sea water and fresh water!

Guests can use beach cottages and beach bed to relax and enjoy the breeze...

They are also offering water sports and recreational activities pero hindi na namin sinubukan so we can maximize out time just to enjoy the water.

Photo Ops lang yan. haha!

Eto yung mga offered activities ng resort;
  • jet-ski
  • kayak
  • snorkeling gadgets
  • banana boat
  • speedboat
  • sight seeing
More photos here..

Will I be back to this resort again? Yes na yes!

Pros:
-accommodating staffs
-great food
-great pools/facilities
-unlimited coffee and drinks during the day
-spacious parking space
-clean rooms/linens
-clean beach.. and the list could go on...😂

Cons:
-mejo malayo, bandang dulo pa :)
-AC in the rooms e hindi sapat yung lamig for the whole family
-not very strict when it comes sa pool policy nila. Some guests don't wear proper swimwears
-wala na ako maalala at maisip na iba pa 😅

So, if you are thinking or planning to getaway from this big city, you can check out this resort. You can visit their website at https://bluecoralbeachresort.com.ph for more details.

MONTENEGRO SHIPPING LINES M/V MARIA XENIA

Anyone of you experienced travelling with Maria Xenia of Montenegro Shipping Lines? I know that this is very random and mababaw but I  need to share this.

I have been travelling back and forth to Mindoro and it is very seldom na matutuwa ako sa mga ship. Given na medyo may mga kalumaan na nga ang mga barko at ang facilities e hindi na ganun ka ayos.

But this particular ship caught my attention. Last week, I need to go to Mindoro to attend some family issue. I traveled alone. Pagdating ko ng Batangas Port, I chose Montenegro Shipping Lines na 10:00PM ang departure. Medyo nainis pa ako kasi ang tagal nila magpa on-board. Nauna pa ang Starlight Ferry na 11PM ang alis.

When boarded, the first thing that caught my eyes was this;

Ang sosyal ng kanilang mini-store or canteen, not sure how they call it. And not only that, meron din syang parang mini bar stool sa paligid to serve those who want to eat.

I just find it very comfortable. And meron din syang very minimal na interior decoration.

Oh diba? Taray ni Monetenegro ha. Basta, na-amaze lang talaga ako sa barko na to. But the most important part for me is meron syang bed!! My gash! I really need it kasi I have to sleep. I am aware na meron talaga sa mga ships lalo na doon sa mga malalayo ang travel but here, bago talaga ang beds nila. See this....

\
I was just a little bit embarrassed na kumuha ng pictures kasi baka ma-offend ang iba. If you could see, meron na rin syang built-in pillow.

The journey was a little bit rough kasi malakas ang hangin nung nasa gitna na but I was able to sleep for almost the whole trip.

Now, let us see the restroom.

Malinis at walang amoy. Very good talaga para sa akin. The sink is very appealing and meron pa talaga sya mirror ha. I was not able to explore sa taas at sa ibang part kasi gabi and I was just alone. So I managed to took photos lang sa kaya ko lang libutin.

The trip was great. We were able to dock safely. We arrived at almost 2AM in Calapan Port.

The only thing I have noticed that is not really good was the entrance. It was too small that it made the vehicles to get in and out.

Calapan Port at dawn. It was around 2AM when I got off from the ship and I was very anxious because I did not see any van going to Roxas around. Good thing I heard one Ate who asked Roro Bus driver if there's still an available seat and he said yes. So I took my chances as well and luckily I was able to get one but to my surprised, the bus had only a handful passengers. Ceres Lines was there too picking up chance passenger. Oh wow! What a luck!

So yeah. That was my over all travel experience that day. Exhausting but great!

BIDA ANG SAYA! NOW IN ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO!

Talk of the town! Jollibee is now here! Wala ng makakapigil pa, sabi nga nila.

The second store in Oriental Mindoro second district was opened on August 8 this year. The first store is located in Pinamalayan. Excitement and happiness overflowed during the opening. I was not able to capture the moment because I was not there but my Facebook timeline was flooded with news, pictures and stories about it.

Hindi mo rin naman din kasi masisisi ang madlang people. Nakaka-happy naman kasi talaga. Having this establishment is more like a status symbol. It means that the town is no longer a sleepy town. It shows that it is now progressing. And it brings joy to everybody.

The youngest pamangkin that can never wait to take a bite.

My pamangkin having a good time!

See the happiness on those faces? Bida ang saya talaga. Jollibee is not only offering yummy foods but most importantly, the joy it brings to every child's face. Keep it up Jollibee..spread the happiness.

COOKIE- THE RESCUED KITTY

Cat Person? No, I am not. But I changed dramatically when I met this cute little thing.

We had her in the most unexpected way. Some of you might know that I have a dog. Her name was Snappy. She passed away a month ago. I will be blogging about her next time. Those were the most painful week of my life.

Okay, so about this little cutie. I found her in the gutter last July 23. It was raining that morning and I decided to visit Snappy's grave a day after she died. When I was on my way back, I heard a very faint cry and when I looked down, there, I saw her shivering.

Without thinking, I scooped her and dried up. I even gave her heat pad so she can recover fast from the cold.

It was really my son, Hans who persuaded me to keep her. He was very consistent about getting a cat. He opted to have a cat than a dog. He's a bit scared of dogs, that's why. So when daddy agreed, we decide to keep her and named her COOKIE.

She just slept and drank a few drops of milk in her first three days with us. She's very weak and was unable to walk. First few steps were wobbly so I thought she was just weeks old. So we bottle-fed her until she regained her full strength.

Few weeks more and she was able to walk freely, roam around and playfully skipping and jumping.

This kitty has gone through a lot. Two days after I found her, I discovered that her tails was torn and slowly decomposing. That was the reason why she's smells bad. So, I cut it and cleansed the wound. After a week, the skin in her remaining tail peeled off leaving her an open wound that made her more uncomfortable. I looked for medicine to cure it and slowly it is drying up.

This poor thing is a fighter! She is trying to keep up with life and I am hoping that she'll grow healthy and a happy cat.

P.S. Her milk is COSI and she is now slowly nibbling Princess Cat Food :)

POCANIL BEACH RESORT- THE HIDDEN SANCTUARY

ORIENTAL MINDORO!

My mother land! When you heard the name, White Beach in Puerto Galera will be the first thing that will pop in mind. Undoubtedly, Puerto is really something when it comes to water adventures. But wait, Oriental Mindoro has more than to offer when you say, beaches.

Bulalacao is one of the municipalities in this province. The last one when you are coming from Calapan. I think it is 3-4 hours drive from the port. This highland place can offer you nature more than you can imagine. Beaches, mountains, seafoods, wild animals? They all have it.

I grew up in Mansalay, town before it but I rarely had a chance to visit the place. Let me give you one of it's almost perfect shore...the POCANIL BEACH.

It is only like 5 minute drive from the main road. But the most prominent view here is the rock mountain. See this,..

And this...

 I still got some more....

I still cannot believe I am looking at this rock. It is as if staring back at me! Wild plants are thriving. orchids are hanging and trees are actually growing vastly!

When I took this photo, I literally lay down so I would be able top capture the bottom to top.

My lola said that she used to live on top of that rock mountain and used to took a nap on those trees that almost hanging in the cliff. One wrong step and you will find yourself..erhm, crumpled down below. Monkeys, bats, and snakes are the major inhabitants of this mountain.

They also said that I was just unlucky that we went there in high tide. It is more beautiful when the tide is low because you would be able to explore more and even get in to the cave. Also, shellfish very common here.

They are starting to develop the place to be more beautiful but looking at this very pristine, untouched haven is very appealing to me.

If you are looking a perfect get-away, I recommend this place. There is no WiFi or even phone signals. So you can really relax and have the time of your life before going back to the concrete jungle, the CITY!
