Home-made Remedy for Common Cough and Colds

Since our country is a tropical one, the weather is a bit stubborn and sabi nga nila, sala sa init, sala sa lamig. The tendency is we often get sick especially  the young ones. If your immune system is weak, then you are susceptible to common colds and dry cough.

My  little boy, Hans is often like this. Due to weather changes, there are time na nagkaka sipon at ubo. Not like any other mommies, I don't want him to take over-the-counter meds right away. Those are my last option. Being a wide reader, I stumbled to this articles about good stuffs in using apple cider vinegar.

  • Helps Heartburn and Acid Reflux. ...
  • Promotes Healthy Cholesterol. ...
  • Can Aid in Healthy Weight Loss. ...
  • Promotes Healthy Blood Sugar. ...
  • Has Antioxidant Properties. ...
  • Improves Nutrient Absorption.
  • Helps to Cure Cough and Colds

An then, I figured that giving this to children is a bit challenging, so I need to put something sweet in it. Honey comes in the picture. Then I added calamansi just to tweak the taste a little bit, and of course we all know that calamansi juice has its own healing power too..
Here's the recipe:

Mix all these..
  • 1 tbsp calamansi juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider
This is how the mixture looks like. I used plastic container to avoid acid reaction.
The taste is just like a super concentrated juice. Sweet and sour, just right for my little kiddo.

I am giving this to him before bedtime to ease the symptoms of colds and prevent stuffy nose.

Pricelist:
  • Honey in Landmark Php 59.00
  • Apple Cider in Shopwise Php 300+
  • Calamansi (market) Php 10.00 per pack

S&R All Cheese Pizza is a Bomb!

Pizza? Yes please! I am not sure about you but if you will to ask me what to eat, the first thing that comes to mind is...PIZZA! Whatever occasion it will be, if you have pizza, it is a feast for me. Some would say, "pizza again? Ano bang meron sa pizza? Di ka ba nagsasawa? " Oh hell, no! Haha!

Speaking of which, I had this chance last Friday to grab a bite of this very very tempting slice when on my way home from the office. S&R, a membership shopping store opened its pizza parlor in Glorietta 2, I think last year or the year before that, I can no longer remember when. But the point is, this is pizza and I have to have one before leaving Makati. (yes, for almost 10 years working in here, I will going to leave you dear Makati. Story will be posted soon) .. But here, take a look! Nakakagutom, right? I feel you :)

Luckily, the place was not as crowded like before every time I passed by. So without any hesitation, I ordered one slice. Mind you, the slice is not the typical slice of pizza you get when you buy the ones in boxes, the 8 slices? No, this one is gigantic. See what I have ordered below.

Their condiments area has selections of hot sauce, tomato catsup, mustard, onions and relish..

Satisfaction guaranteed! Cravings satisfied, sabi nga nila. That mustard was just out of curiosity if how does it taste like if combined with the hot sauce and catsup. Turned out okay though :)

Pardon for the blurry picture

There are still more empty seats but after a minute or two, the place started to become full.

After taking my time of munching and enjoying this piece of heaven, the place started to become crowded as people were filling in. I told you, I was just lucky not to endure the long line to order.

Anyways, in general, I love the taste. Next time I will try another flavors. I would like to try their garlic and shrimp.

Their locations is at Second Floor, Glorietta 2, Ayala Center, Makati City, Glorietta Complex, Makati City.

Southwoods City Week-end Experience

It has been 3 years since we moved here in south from Mandaluyong. Binan, Laguna. This part of this greater Manila that is fast improving. Dati vacant lot lang, but after three years e ganito na sya..
When we came here three years ago, wala pa ang buildings na to..
This area is now developing. In the picture above, that is going to be a mall.
My little Hans when we took a stroll here

Every weekend, they have this food stalls organized by BAGA MANILA

They a lot of food selections with a very affordable price.

And not only that, you can have this cozy feel because you get to enjoy it under the moonlight, stars and cool breeze...
We had a good time, erm good food!

The wood mini table and mat is for rent for only Php20.00, unlimited use.

This is the other side facing the Unihealth Hospital

Since the area is an open one, you can feel the coolness of the breeze even it is beside the busy SLEX.
This area is getting busy as the night goes on..
Pardon me with my very great camera phone 😀.. Once you have entered the Southwoods Exit (from Manila) ito ang sasalubong sayo, the signage. I think in 2-3 years, this place will be the next commercial and business center of the south..
